OUR MISSION

AEMENER is the Spanish Association of Women for Energy. A non-profit association that unites a group of professionals, women and men, mostly from the Energy World, committed, in a personal capacity, to improve and ensure presence of women with balanced and diversed teams in all areas of the company by promoting female vocations in the STEM areas: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Helping to employability by strengthening the presence of women in the Energy Sector at all levels, especially those with greater difficulties. Finally promoting women's professional careers in the Energy Sector.

DECALOGUE

We promote the incorporation of a greater number of women into the energy sector.
Our vocation is to work in collaboration with other initiatives and organisations focused on advancing the position of women in society.
We understand that it is necessary to collaborate to make entry into the sector attractive to professionals from various disciplines, from technical to economic, legal, marketing, communication, etc.
We believe it is essential to raise awareness about the importance of the sector at universities, showing, in addition to its importance for society, its diversity, sub-sectors and constituent activities, as well as the professional development opportunities it offers.
We encourage the incorporation of young women into STEM careers, with special focus on the energy sector.
We emphasise the importance of energy for society at early school ages.
We promote the participation of women in debate forums and sectoral decision-making bodies.
We contribute to improving society's knowledge of the energy sector by communicating the importance of energy as a vector of sustainable development.
We promote studies that contribute to social debate and knowledge of new energy scenarios.
Our activity is based on independence, ethics, rigour, diversity and mutual respect.
